Product Overview
Mint Peppermint World Kitchen Seeds
Approx 1250 Seeds
Peppermint is a refreshing and aromatic herb, widely used in both savoury and sweet dishes. In Greek cooking it is added to cheese dishes, tomato sauces, meats and rice recipes, while also being essential in classics like moussaka, keftedes and tsatsiki. Easy to grow and vigorous, it produces a steady supply of flavourful leaves that can also be used in teas, desserts and drinks.
How To Grow
Sow thinly and cover lightly with fine compost. Firm gently and keep soil moist during germination. Mint prefers shady, damp spots in the garden, or can be grown in tubs and pots. As it spreads quickly, plant where it can be contained to prevent it taking over the garden.
When To Plant
Can be sown all year round.
Harvest
Pick fresh leaves as required throughout the year. Regular harvesting encourages new growth.
Soil Type
Thrives in moist but well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter.
