Product Overview
Dill World Kitchen Seeds
Approx 750 Seeds
Dill is a fragrant annual herb with fine feathery foliage and delicate yellow flowers. Both the leaves and seeds are widely used in cooking, adding a fresh, tangy flavour to fish, potatoes, sauces, breads and pickles. Easy to grow, it brings flavour to the kitchen and a touch of softness to the herb garden.
How To Grow
Sow seeds directly where they are to grow, as dill does not transplant well. Scatter thinly, cover lightly with fine soil and keep moist. Thin seedlings to about 20cm apart. Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil. Protect from strong winds as tall plants can be delicate.
When To Plant
Best sown in spring and summer, or in frost-free regions during autumn.
Harvest
Pick leaves as required once plants are established. Seeds can be collected later in the season when flower heads turn brown and dry.
Soil Type
Prefers fertile, free-draining soil with plenty of compost or organic matter.
