Product Overview
Australian Native Coral Creeper Seeds
30 Seeds
The Coral Creeper (Kennedia coccinea) is a hardy, water-wise native groundcover or container feature. Its bright pink, pea-like flowers appear on long trailing stems, providing a brilliant display in spring and early summer. Easy to grow and virtually trouble-free, Coral Creeper is well suited for planting in front of taller feature plants such as Kangaroo Paws, or for softening garden edges with cascading colour.
We recommend the use of Mr Fothergill’s Wildflower Seed Starter Granules to improve germination rates. These granules provide natural smoke chemicals that stimulate native seed germination.
Plant Height: 2–3m (trailing or spreading)
How To Grow
In warm areas sow at any time, or wait until the danger of frost has passed in cooler climates. Place seeds in a cup of hot water with Wildflower Seed Starter granules, leave overnight, then drain before sowing. Fill small pots with moist sandy soil, compress lightly, and sow 2–3 seeds 6mm (¼in) deep per pot. Keep moist and cover with clear polythene, removing as soon as germination begins. Place pots in a warm, shaded position until seedlings are strong enough to transplant.
When To Plant
All year round, except during the hottest or coldest weather.
Flowering
Spring to early Summer.
Sow
Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter
