Product Overview
Tomato Roma VF World Kitchen Seeds
Approx 100 Seeds
Roma VF is a much-loved plum (or “egg”) tomato, producing oval-shaped fruits with dense, meaty flesh and very few seeds. With its rich flavour and low acidity, this variety is perfect for sauces, pastes, and preserving, while also being tasty enough to enjoy fresh. Roma VF is a dependable choice for home gardeners, with strong natural resistance to Verticillium Wilt (V) and Fusarium Wilt (F).
How to Grow
Sow seeds 5 mm deep in pots or trays of quality seed-raising mix. Keep moist in a warm, sunny position until seedlings emerge (10–14 days). Transplant to 10–15 cm pots when seedlings are sturdy, then move to the garden once established. Space plants 75 cm apart in rows. Roma VF can be grown without support, though staking is recommended for best results and improved airflow. Pinch out side shoots as they appear. Water consistently, and once the first truss has set, feed regularly with a potassium-rich fertiliser. Can also be sown directly outdoors once the soil has warmed.
