Tomato Roma VF Seeds
100 Seeds
Roma VF is a classic plum (or “egg”) tomato, producing meaty fruits with very few seeds. Known for its excellent flavour, it’s ideal for sauces, pastes, cooking, and also delicious eaten fresh. This reliable variety can be grown without support, though staking is recommended for best results. Roma VF carries resistance to Verticillium Wilt (V) and Fusarium Wilt (F), making it a strong and dependable performer in the garden.
How to Grow
Sow seeds 5 mm deep in pots or trays of quality seed-raising mix. Keep soil moist in a warm, sunny position until seedlings appear (10–14 days). Transplant into 10–15 cm pots when large enough to handle, then move to the garden once sturdy. Space plants 75 cm apart in rows. Stake early for best airflow and to support heavy crops. Retain side shoots on this bush-type variety. Water consistently, and feed with a potassium-rich fertiliser after the first truss sets. Can also be sown directly outdoors once soil has warmed.
When to Plant
Early spring to summer; year-round in frost-free, warm regions.
