Tomato Costoluto Fiorentino World Kitchen Seeds
Approx 100 Seeds
Costoluto Fiorentino is a classic Italian heirloom tomato, producing large, deeply ribbed fruits up to 10 cm across. Known for its juicy, fleshy texture and rich flavour, it’s a versatile variety that shines when eaten raw, grilled, or cooked into sauces. A favourite for traditional Mediterranean dishes, this tomato is a must-have for every serious cook and gardener.
How to Grow
Sow seeds 5 mm deep in pots or trays of quality seed-raising mix, keeping soil at a minimum of 18°C for reliable germination. Seedlings emerge in 7–14 days. Transplant to individual pots when plants reach 5 cm tall, then move to a greenhouse, grow bags, large pots, or directly into garden beds once established. Provide strong stakes or trellising early to support growth. Pinch out side shoots as they appear, water consistently, and feed with liquid fertiliser once the first truss of flowers sets. Seeds may also be sown directly outdoors once the soil has warmed in spring.
