Product Overview
Sage Herb Seeds
40 Seeds
Sage is a hardy, fragrant perennial herb with grey-green leaves traditionally used in stuffings, especially for pork, poultry and sausages. Its strong, earthy flavour also complements roasted vegetables, beans and rich sauces. Attractive and versatile, sage is as much at home in the herb patch as it is in ornamental borders.
How To Grow
Sow seeds 1.5cm deep in prepared soil or pots. Once seedlings appear, thin to around 38cm apart to allow room for mature growth. Sage prefers a sunny position and light, well-drained soil. Leaves can be picked fresh throughout the year, or harvested before flowering and dried for later use.
When To Plant
Can be sown all year round in most climates.
Harvest
Pick leaves as required, fresh or dried. Regular picking encourages new growth.
Soil Type
Grows best in light, sandy or well-drained soil.
