Rosemary Herb Seeds
75 Seeds
Rosemary is a classic Mediterranean herb, prized for its strong aroma and bold flavour. It is especially good with lamb, poultry and roasted vegetables, and is a staple in stuffings, marinades and slow-cooked dishes. With its evergreen growth and needle-like leaves, rosemary is both a productive kitchen herb and an attractive garden shrub.
How To Grow
Sow very thinly, about 0.5cm deep, in trays of seed-raising mix. Keep moist until germination, then grow on until plants are strong enough to harden off and transplant. Space at least 60cm apart in the garden. Choose a sunny, sheltered position with free-draining soil. Rosemary grows well in pots as well as garden beds.
When To Plant
Can be sown all year round, though germination may be slow.
Harvest
Pick leaves and tender shoots as required throughout the year. Sprigs can also be dried for later use.
Soil Type
Prefers light, well-drained soil with plenty of sun.
