Product Overview
Pea Climbing Telephone Seeds
40 grams of seed
Pea Climbing Telephone is one of the most popular climbing pea varieties, producing tall plants with well-filled pods and a sweet flavour. This hardy annual provides a long picking season and is perfect for gardeners who enjoy heavy yields of fresh peas. Plants grow vigorously and require trellises or supports, reaching up to 2m in height.
How To Grow
Prepare trenches 15cm wide and 5cm deep in soil enriched with compost or aged manure. Sow seeds in pairs in a zig-zag pattern along the trench, spacing 7.5cm apart. Cover with soil and firm down gently. Allow 1m between rows if sowing multiple rows. Best sown into moist soil where additional watering is not required until seedlings emerge. Protect seedlings from birds and guide young plants onto supports. Mulch well and water regularly. Additional fertiliser is not required as peas fix their own nitrogen.
When To Plant
Late Autumn through Spring, earlier in cooler climates.
Harvest
14–16 weeks from sowing.
Sow
