Parsnip Gladiator is a hybrid, canker-resistant variety that produces vigorous, large wedge-shaped roots with smooth white skin and a sweet flavour. The high-quality flesh makes it an excellent choice for roasts, soups, and winter dishes. This reliable variety also keeps well in the ground until you are ready to harvest.
How To Grow
Sow seeds directly into their cropping position, 15mm deep in rows 40cm apart. Germination can be irregular, so sow thickly and water well until plants are established. Thin out gradually to 20cm apart. Parsnips prefer an open, sunny position and well-drained soil. The flavour of the roots will improve after exposure to cold weather.
