Product Overview
Cucamelon Mexican Gherkin World Kitchen Seeds
Approx 20 seeds
These vigorous climbers produce masses of grape-sized fruits that look like miniature watermelons. Their crisp, refreshing taste combines cucumber with a hint of citrus, making them perfect for salads, pickling, or snacking straight from the vine. Native to Mexico and Central America, cucamelons are perennial in warm climates, highly drought tolerant, and easy to grow. Best results are achieved with staking or trellising for support.
How To Grow
Sow 3–4 seeds together in small groups, 5 mm deep, and thin to the two strongest seedlings once established. Space rows 60 cm apart. Keep soil moist but not waterlogged. Pinch out the main growing tips at the 5–6 leaf stage to encourage productive side shoots. Seedlings emerge in 14–21 days.
