Coriander For Leaf Herb Seeds
250 Seeds
Coriander is a versatile annual herb grown for its aromatic leaves, spicy seeds and even its roots, all of which are used in cooking. The fresh green leaves, also known as cilantro, are perfect in curries, salads and dips. As plants mature, the seeds can be harvested for use in curries, spice blends or even desserts, where their warm, citrus-like flavour adds an intriguing twist. Plants grow up to 60cm tall and are equally at home in garden beds or windowsill pots.
How To Grow
Sow seeds 5mm deep directly where they are to grow. Thin seedlings to about 20cm apart once large enough to handle. Coriander prefers a sunny position with well-drained soil. Indoors, it can be grown year-round as a windowsill herb in quality potting mix. Keep soil evenly moist for best results.
When To Plant
Sow in spring and autumn, or in pots indoors at any time of year.
Harvest
Pick leaves as needed once plants are growing strongly. Allow some plants to flower and set seed for harvesting later in the season.
Soil Type
Best grown in fertile, free-draining soil enriched with compost or organic matter.
