Capsicum Californian Wonder Certified Organic Seeds

A classic heirloom capsicum, producing thick-walled blocky fruit that ripen from green to a rich red. Sweet and crunchy when raw, yet full of flavour when cooked, these capsicums are perfect for salads, roasting, stuffing or preserving. Grown using certified organic methods, they are a rich source of Vitamin C, antioxidants and fibre.
How To Grow
Sow seeds 5mm deep in trays or punnets filled with quality seed raising mix. Keep moist and warm until germination. Once seedlings reach around 10–12cm tall, transplant them into 12cm pots before planting into their final position in the garden or large containers. Prepare the soil with plenty of compost or organic matter. Choose a sunny, sheltered site and water regularly during dry weather. Seedlings emerge in 10–14 days.
When To Plant
- Cool and temperate zones: Sow indoors from late Winter to early Spring; transplant after frost danger has passed.
- Subtropical and tropical zones: Sow from Spring through Summer.
Harvest
Approx. 12 weeks from sowing, continuing over a long period as fruits mature from green to red.
