Product Overview
Cabbage Savoy King F1 Hybrid Seeds
50 seeds
Savoy King is one of the most reliable hybrid savoy cabbages, producing uniform, dense heads with attractive crinkled leaves and an excellent flavour. Known for its vigour and strong yields, this variety performs well across the seasons and is a top choice for both home gardens and kitchen use. Its sweet, tender leaves are perfect for steaming, stir-fries, soups, and traditional winter dishes.
How To Grow
Sow seeds 1.5cm deep in trays, punnets, or a prepared seed bed. Keep soil moist until seedlings appear, usually within 7–10 days. Once 2–4 true leaves have formed, transplant to the final growing position, spacing plants 40–60cm apart. Choose a sunny site with rich, well-dug soil, and water consistently to encourage strong, even growth. Firm plants in well at transplanting to stabilise them as they mature.
When To Plant
Early spring through to autumn.
Harvest
14–18 weeks from sowing, when heads are firm and compact.
Sow
Spring, Summer, Autumn
Important Note
These seeds may be treated with a fungicide (Thiram or Apron XL). Do not eat the seeds or feed them to animals. Fungicide treatment is an AQIS requirement for certain seed varieties. It does not affect your crops or harm beneficial insects such as bees. If treated, packets will be clearly labelled and seeds dyed for identification.
