Broccoli Purple Sprouting Extra Early World Kitchen Seeds

This early sprouting broccoli produces attractive purple spears with a fine flavour and tender texture. A Mediterranean classic, it’s at its best when lightly steamed, blanched, or tossed through pasta dishes. An excellent choice for early crops in cooler months.
How To Grow
Sow seeds thinly, 5mm deep, in seed trays or directly into well-prepared soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings usually appear within 7–12 days. Once large enough to handle, transplant to final position, spacing 60cm apart. Keep plants well-watered throughout the growing season.
When To Plant
Late summer to autumn.
Harvest
Ready to pick in 16–20 weeks. Cut spears regularly to encourage continuous cropping.
Sow
Summer, Autumn.
Soil Type
Prefers well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny position.
Important Note
These seeds may be treated with a fungicide (Thiram or Apron XL). Do not eat the seeds or feed them to animals. Treatment is an AQIS requirement for certain varieties and does not affect your crop or harm beneficial insects. Treated packets will be clearly marked, and seeds dyed for identification.
