How To Grow
Sow seeds 5mm deep directly where they are to grow, spacing plants about 30cm apart. Keep soil moist during germination. Basil thrives in a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained, fertile soil. In cooler months it can be grown year-round in pots. Plants may need staking with bamboo in windy conditions. Remove flower heads regularly to encourage leafy growth and harvest leaves as needed.

Sow in spring and summer. In frost-free regions, grow in pots year-round.
Harvest
Leaves can be picked from spring through autumn. Regular harvesting promotes fresh new growth.
