Verbena Dwarf Compact (Verbena x hybrida) are delicate, fragrant primrose-type flowers borne in dense clusters. The sparkling colour range includes white, pink, blue and violet, making this variety strongly recommended where thick, colourful ground cover is required. This half-hardy annual flowers in its first year and performs beautifully in sunny garden beds and containers.

How To Grow
Sow seeds by lightly covering with compost and keep moist in warm conditions at 15 to 20°C. Germination can be erratic and may take 3 to 4 weeks. Prick out seedlings once they have developed 2 to 4 leaves. Harden off before planting out in October, spacing plants approximately 20 to 30cm apart. Pinch out the leading shoot of each plant to encourage bushy growth. For denser ground cover, peg down lateral shoots. Water well during dry spells and remove dead flowers regularly to prolong the flowering period.
