Product Overview

Spinach English Medania Seeds

250 Seeds

Medania is a reliable, modern spinach variety known for its thick, rounded, dark green leaves and excellent cropping ability. Quick to establish and easy to grow, it thrives in both garden beds and containers, making it a great choice for small spaces. With regular harvesting, Medania provides a continuous supply of fresh, nutrient-rich leaves for salads, soups, and smoothies. It performs particularly well in the cooler months of autumn and spring.

How to Grow

Sow seeds 1.2 cm deep directly where they are to grow and lightly cover with seed-raising mix. Firm the soil and keep it consistently moist. Space rows 30 cm apart and thin seedlings to allow room for growth. Keep plants well watered and feed with a balanced fertiliser for best results. Harvest outer leaves regularly to encourage ongoing production.

When to Plant

Best in autumn and spring, but can be sown most of the year except in extreme heat.

Soil Type

Prefers free-draining, fertile soil with a high organic content. Incorporate compost or organic matter before planting.

Harvest

Ready in 6–8 weeks. Pick outer leaves regularly; each plant can continue producing for up to 4 weeks.

Sow

Spring, Autumn (and most of the year in mild climates)
