Product Overview

Pumpkin Kent Seeds

Kent pumpkin produces rounded fruit with mottled green skin and dense orange flesh. Its sweet flavour makes it a versatile choice for roasting, soups, baking and mashed pumpkin. The spreading vines are well suited to a sunny vegetable patch with plenty of room to grow.

How To Grow

Sow seeds approximately 2 to 3cm deep once the soil is warm. Keep the soil moist during establishment and allow ample space for the vines to spread. Water regularly as plants grow and fruit develops. Harvest mature pumpkins when their skins have hardened and the stalks begin to dry.

When To Plant

Sow in spring to early summer after frost danger has passed.

Harvest

Ready in approximately 14 to 16 weeks, depending on growing conditions.

Soil Type

Well-drained soil in a sunny position. Avoid excessive nitrogen feeding, which can encourage leafy growth at the expense of fruit.
