Product Overview
Pea Dwarf Blue Bantam Seeds
40 grams of seed
Pea Dwarf Blue Bantam is a compact, early-maturing variety renowned for its excellent flavour and vigorous growth. Perfect for home gardens, it produces large pods packed with tasty peas. A great source of vitamins A, C and folate. Plants grow to around 40–50cm tall, making them ideal for smaller spaces or lower supports.
How To Grow
Prepare flat trenches 15cm wide and 5cm deep in well-prepared soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Sow seeds into moist soil in a zig-zag pattern along the trench, spacing 5cm apart. Cover with soil and firm down gently. Space rows 45cm apart and up to 2m long. Protect young seedlings from birds and provide small sticks or twigs for support to make harvesting easier and improve yields. Seedlings emerge in 7–10 days. Water regularly once germinated and keep soil moist throughout the season. Fertilising is not necessary as peas fix their own nitrogen.
When To Plant
Autumn through Spring. In cooler zones, sowings can also be made in early Summer.
Harvest
10–12 weeks from sowing.
Sow
