Carrot Topweight is a well-regarded variety producing long, smooth tapering roots with excellent flavour. Naturally disease resistant and highly reliable, it’s one of the easiest carrots to grow at home. The convenience of seed tape ensures perfectly spaced plants with minimal thinning, making it a great option for both beginners and experienced gardeners.
How To Grow
Lay out the seed tape in rows 5mm deep and 30cm apart, then cover lightly with soil and water well. Seedlings usually emerge within 7–14 days. For a continuous supply, sow new tape every 2–3 weeks. Keep the soil consistently moist and free of stones to encourage straight root development. Harvest young for tender, sweet carrots, or allow them to mature fully for larger roots.
