Plant Height
50–60cm
How To Grow
Sow seeds 25mm deep in well-prepared, damp soil. Avoid watering for a day or two after sowing. Space seeds 10–15cm apart with 50–60cm between rows. Ensure frosts have passed and provide shelter from strong winds. Grow in rows 1–3m long, keeping weeds down and mulching to keep the soil cool. Water well during dry spells.
As a legume, beans naturally enrich the soil with nitrogen, so extra fertiliser is not required. Harvest beans regularly to encourage further cropping.
When To Plant

Harvest
8–10 weeks from sowing.
Sow
Spring, Summer
Important Note
In periods of hot and humid weather, mist flowers lightly with water to assist with flower and pod set.
