Aster Dutchess Blue Ice (Callistephus chinensis) is a striking variety that produces large, dramatic blooms of crisp white delicately brushed with soft blue. Their upright form makes them ideal as a backdrop for smaller flowering plants in borders and beds.

How To Grow
Sow seeds 5mm deep in seed trays, punnets, or directly into the flowering position. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle, spacing plants 45cm apart. Wait until the danger of frost has passed before planting outdoors. In hot weather, apply a mulch around the base of plants to help retain moisture and keep roots cool. Asters need consistent watering during their growing and flowering season. Seedlings usually appear within 10–14 days.
