Strawflower Tall Mixed (Xerochrysum bracteatum, formerly Helichrysum bracteatum) deliver a spectacular show of colour in the garden throughout Summer and are equally prized for Winter dried flower arrangements. These hardy annuals make excellent background plants when grown with dwarf annuals and flower reliably in their first year. They perform best in a sunny position.

How To Grow
Sow 6mm deep into seed trays or punnets using quality seed-raising mix and keep moist during germination. Transplant seedlings to their final flowering position once they reach approximately 5 to 7cm high, spacing plants about 30cm apart. Seeds can also be sown directly into prepared garden soil.
