Directions For Use:

1. Sample Collection: Before taking a soil sample, clear away any debris or mulch from the surface.

   • For shallow rooted plants, extract a sample from a depth of 10-15 cm.
   • For deep-rooted trees and shrubs, aim for 25-30cm below the surface.
   • For potted plants or those in containers, sample from the root zone depth.

2. If your soil sample is chunky or coarse, grind it down for smoother consistency.

3. Measuring pH:

   • On the provided testing plate, lay out a small soil sample (roughly half a teaspoon in size).
   • Introduce a few drops of the indicator liquid to create a thick, blendable paste.
   • Sprinkle the white Barium powder from the puffer bottle onto the paste. You'll notice a colour transformation within a minute.
   • Contrast the colour of the paste with the included colour chart, identifying the closest match to determine the pH value.

4. Post-Test Cleanup: To prevent any cross-contamination, make sure to cleanse both the plate and mixing rod after every test.
