A classic heritage radish variety producing attractive oblong roots with bright red tops and crisp white bases. French Breakfast radishes are fast-growing and mild in flavour, with a crunchy texture that makes them perfect for salads, coleslaw, and relish trays, or simply enjoyed fresh as a healthy snack. A reliable “catch crop”, they are ideal for sowing between slower-growing vegetables or in containers for quick results.
How To Grow
Sow seeds thinly, 5mm deep in rows 20–25cm apart. Keep soil moist for best flavour and texture. Thin seedlings to about 2.5cm apart. For a continuous harvest, make successive sowings every 2–3 weeks. Seedlings emerge in 5–8 days.
