Dahlia Coltness Single Mix Seeds

Coltness Single Mix produces large single flowers in a stunning variety of bright colours. The blooms are highly attractive to bees and butterflies, making them a pollinator-friendly addition to the garden. Excellent as bedding plants or for cut flowers, they provide a vibrant display from Summer through to Autumn.
How to Grow
Sow seeds 5 mm deep in trays of seed-raising mix or directly into a prepared flowering position. Keep soil moist during germination. Seedlings appear in 10–14 days. Transplant when large enough to handle, spacing plants 30 cm apart. Apply mulch to keep roots cool and suppress weeds. Feed with liquid fertiliser as buds develop.
When to Plant
Spring to early summer, after the last frost.
Soil Type
Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost.
Harvest
Blooms appear in summer and continue through autumn. Flowers are excellent for cutting.

Important Note
Lift and divide tubers annually, especially in high-rainfall areas. Store tubers over winter and replant the following spring for best results.
