Boltardy is a well-loved beetroot variety, producing smooth, round roots with a deep red flesh and sweet flavour. It is highly reliable, showing good resistance to bolting, and performs well even in early sowings. Perfect for roasting, boiling, pickling, or slicing fresh into salads. With seed tape, sowing is quick and easy, ensuring even spacing and minimal thinning.
How To Grow
Separate the strips and roll out onto prepared rows 5mm deep and 30cm apart. Cover lightly with soil, firm down, and keep moist. Sow tape at two-week intervals for a continuous supply. Place in full sun for best results.
