Aquilegia vulgaris, also known as Sweet Columbine or Granny’s Bonnet, is a charming perennial that brings a cottage garden feel to borders and beds. This tall variety produces large, brightly coloured blooms on elegant stems, making it excellent for both garden display and cut flowers. Hardy and reliable, Aquilegia McKana Giant will flower year after year in sunny or partially shaded positions.

How To Grow
Sow seeds 5mm deep in seed trays or punnets. Transplant seedlings when they are 5–7cm tall, spacing plants 30-40cm apart. Keep soil evenly moist, especially during dry weather. Mulch around the base of plants to retain soil moisture and reduce weeds. Apply a liquid fertiliser when flower buds begin to form for stronger growth and better blooms.
