Poppy Oriental Mix (Papaver orientale) are hardy plants producing delicate, papery flowers in a striking mix of salmon, orange and scarlet red tones. Outstandingly tolerant of dry conditions once established, these bold perennials require very little ongoing care and create a dramatic feature in garden beds and borders.

How To Grow
Sow in a sunny, well-drained position by sprinkling seed over the soil, covering lightly, firming down gently and keeping damp during germination. Alternatively, sow into seed boxes and transplant when large enough to handle. Thin plants as required to approximately 30cm apart. Pinch out early buds to encourage strong, well-formed clumps and remove spent flower heads to encourage further blooms. Seedlings usually emerge in 10 to 14 days.
