An excellent cos variety that produces large, firm hearts with a crisp texture and fine flavour. Perfect for fresh salads and sandwiches. Reliable and easy to grow, suitable for both spring and autumn sowing.
How To Grow
Sow a few seeds in each clump, 6mm deep. Cover lightly with seed raising mix or soil and water gently. Space clumps 20cm apart, thinning to the strongest seedlings as they grow. Feed fortnightly with liquid fertiliser and keep well-watered, as lettuce have shallow roots. For a continuous harvest, make successive sowings every two weeks.
