Product Overview
Choy Sum 'Flowering Pak Choi' World Kitchen Seeds
Approx 500 seeds
A much-loved Chinese leafy green, Choy Sum produces tender stems, leaves, and flower buds that are all edible. Harvested young as baby leaves or just before flowering, it has a delicate flavour and is perfect for stir-fries, soups, salads, or simply blanched and served with soy, sesame, and ginger dressings.
How To Grow
Sow directly into a well-prepared garden bed in full sun. Prefers fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds thinly in rows 40 cm apart, covering lightly with fine soil. Firm down gently and keep moist. Seedlings emerge in 6–10 days. Regular watering and weeding will ensure healthy growth.
When To Plant
All year round in most climates, avoiding periods of extreme heat or frost.
Harvest
Pick leaves and stems as baby greens or wait until plants reach flowering stage for full-sized harvest. Continuous picking encourages new growth.
