Cauliflower Quickheart Seeds
250 seeds
Cauliflower Quickheart is a reliable and early variety that produces firm, pure white heads with excellent flavour. It holds its quality well, staying crisp and fresh for longer than many other types. Compact in growth yet generous in yield, it’s a great choice for both home gardens and kitchen harvests.
How To Grow
Sow seeds 6mm deep in trays or punnets filled with seed-raising mix. Keep the soil moist until germination, which usually takes 2–3 weeks. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle, spacing 45–60cm apart. Alternatively, sow direct into the garden in small clusters, thinning to one strong seedling per spot. For best results, plant in rich, well-prepared soil and feed regularly with a balanced fertiliser.
When To Plant
Mid-summer through autumn.
Harvest
Ready to cut when heads are firm and still young and tender, usually 12–16 weeks from sowing.
Sow
Summer, Autumn
Soil Type
Fertile, well-dug, and well-drained soil in a sunny position.
Important Note
These seeds may be treated with a fungicide (Thiram or Apron XL). Do not eat the seeds or feed them to animals. Fungicide treatment is an AQIS requirement for certain seed varieties but will not affect your crop or harm beneficial insects such as bees.
